Stone-built, using materials from the remains of 18th /19th century lead miner’s cottages that had occupied the site until the 1890’s – when they were abandoned.

‘The Ghyll’ stands in its own walled garden, at the foot of Buckden Ghyll and below Buckden Pike.
We designed the cottages to be of the highest standards and with special consideration given to the needs of those with restricted mobility.
Private parking is adjacent to the step-free cottage entrance. An open, covered logia gives access to a porch, leading to a south-facing lounge/dining room, from which there is access to a terrace. The separate kitchen is fully fitted with all modern facilities and overlooks the rear walled garden.
From the lounge, another door leads into a double bedroom, having its own full bathroom, which includes a spa bath, level deck shower, toilet, wash basin and underfloor heating. The bed is 6ft. wide, being a twin 3ft. zip-and-link system. Normally a ‘double’, it can be split into a ‘twin’ by arrangement, if preferred.
Upstairs are two further spacious bedrooms (one twin, one double) and a house bathroom, with an over bath shower.
